Why this one divides people
There is always one item left in the bowl that everyone hopes someone else will handle. The roasting tin leads on sheer physics: baked-on fat does not surrender to a sponge, and soaking it just delays the argument. Graters run it close, because they are designed to shred exactly the thing you clean them with. Pasta pans have that grey cement layer around the rim. Blender blades are the risky option, cleaned at arm's length with genuine caution. Wine glasses seem easy until one snaps in your hand. Everyone has a nemesis.
