Why this one divides people
The middle seat is the reflex answer, and for good reason: no wall to lean on, no easy exit, two elbows competing for one armrest. But seasoned flyers will argue the middle is merely uncomfortable, while the back row is actively cursed - seats that barely recline, a queue forming at your shoulder, and the last cart to reach you. Others insist the real misery is positional rather than structural: whoever sits in front of you decides your fate the moment they hit the recline button. It splits cleanly between people who fly rarely and people who fly too much.
