What's the most hated kind of alarm sound?
There is no correct answer to this one. In Hivemind you are guessing which of these 5 answers most other people picked.
The options
- Loud, shrill beeping
- A song you once loved
- The default phone tone
- A chatty radio DJ
- Someone else's alarm
Why this one divides people
An alarm sound is a tiny piece of music you never chose, played at your most defenceless moment, so of course people hate it personally. The shrill beep is the obvious villain, loud enough to startle and ugly enough to resent. But the song once loved is the crueller trap, because it quietly ruins a track you liked and can never fully reclaim. The default tone earns a quieter, more universal contempt, simply because it is everyone's first and last sound. Somewhere a radio voice is already talking before you are ready to exist.

In the game itself you always see a split, because a seeded baseline stands in until recorded answers outweigh it. That estimate is ours, so it is never published here as crowd data.
