Group chats & etiquette
What's the most annoying way to kill a group plan thread?
There is no correct answer to this one. In Hivemind you are guessing which of these 5 answers most other people picked.
The options
- The endless maybe
- Silence from everyone
- Suggesting a new date
- One long paragraph
- Sending a poll
Why this one divides people
Plans do not usually collapse, they deflate. The eternal maybe is the prime suspect: one person who will not commit, holding four other people's weekend hostage while implying it is nearly sorted. The alternative theory blames nobody in particular, since a thread can die of pure silence, everyone waiting for someone else to be the one who sounds keen. Then there is the reset, the friend who arrives late and proposes an entirely different date, quietly undoing an hour of negotiation. The poll gets defended as the only real solution, and resented as homework.
Answers recorded so far
Not enough answers yet. We publish this split once 50 answers are recorded.
No answers recorded yet. Below 50 the numbers would move too much to mean anything. Play today’s ten and this page fills in.
In the game itself you always see a split, because a seeded baseline stands in until recorded answers outweigh it. That estimate is ours, so it is never published here as crowd data.
