What do guests judge first when they walk into your home?
There is no correct answer to this one. In Hivemind you are guessing which of these 5 answers most other people picked.
The options
- The smell
- Surface clutter
- The bathroom
- The state of the floor
- Pet hair
Why this one divides people
Nobody admits to judging a home, and everybody does it within about four seconds. Surface clutter is the popular answer because it is the first thing the eye lands on: the counter, the table, the pile by the stairs. A large group insists it is the smell instead, since that registers before you have consciously looked at anything. Bathroom voters are thinking about the visit later in the evening, when the truth comes out. Floor and pet-hair people are usually the ones who own a vacuum and strong opinions about shoes.

In the game itself you always see a split, because a seeded baseline stands in until recorded answers outweigh it. That estimate is ours, so it is never published here as crowd data.
