Why this one divides people
Procrastination has a hierarchy, and the oven usually sits at the top of it. It is hidden, it is grim, and nothing forces the issue until something starts smoking. The wardrobe is the emotional rival: not physically hard, just a long afternoon of decisions about clothes you no longer wear. Ironing gets postponed by anyone who has discovered that most fabric relaxes if you hang it up fast enough. Kettles and windows only get done when a visitor is imminent. The winner tends to be whichever job has no natural deadline attached.
