Why this one divides people
There is no wrong way to hear a song, but everyone insists their way is the real one. The speakers crowd wants it loud enough to feel in the chest, while the headphone crowd wants it private and close, sealed off from the world. A live show is the purist's answer, the only version where the music arrives with a crowd and a memory attached. The car has a cult of its own, a sealed room moving through scenery with a soundtrack. And plenty of people never really listen at all, just want something on so the silence is not.
