Group chats & etiquette
What's the most annoying way to type a single message?
There is no correct answer to this one. In Hivemind you are guessing which of these 5 answers most other people picked.
The options
- Six messages in a row
- One giant wall of text
- A full stop on each
- No punctuation at all
- All lowercase always
Why this one divides people
Typing style is dialect, and dialects clash. One camp cannot forgive the serial sender who fires off a thought in six separate bursts, setting every phone in the group off like an alarm. The opposing camp finds the unbroken block worse, a paragraph with no gaps that has to be read twice to be understood at all. Then there is punctuation, where a single full stop reads as calm and considered to some people and distinctly cold to others. Nobody is being rude on purpose here, which is precisely why these arguments run for years.
Answers recorded so far
Not enough answers yet. We publish this split once 50 answers are recorded.
No answers recorded yet. Below 50 the numbers would move too much to mean anything. Play today’s ten and this page fills in.
In the game itself you always see a split, because a seeded baseline stands in until recorded answers outweigh it. That estimate is ours, so it is never published here as crowd data.
